Niche Marketing: Here’s How I Find A Hot Niche

Niche marketing begins with finding a great product to sell.

When selling a product, a lot of people make the mistake of developing their product first, and then trying to find a market for it. Of course, the process should be reversed. Niche marketing success depends on finding a market first that spends money, then find out what they want and give it to them.

It is certainly easier said than done, but there are a lot of places online where you can do your niche marketing research for free. They’ve done most of the work for you already. You just need to know where to go and what to do to connect all the dots.

Let me show you the process I go through when I’m trying to brainstorm for ideas.

For starters, I’m always aware of trends and current events in the real world. I read several newspapers each day, many magazines, both general and niche-specific, I watch the news, I listen to the radio. Occasionally something that I hear or read will stick with me. I may record my thoughts on my portable voice recorder, jot down some notes, whatever happens to be convenient for me. Sometimes I’ll call my office voice mail and leave myself a message.

But at some point I’ll have several broad ideas to research. I want to look deeper. And I want to make sure there is a good market for them before I even think about creating a product.

So I’ll begin completing the following steps:

The eBay Pulse site is a great place to start looking at sub-niches. What I will do is select the category first  then look for profitable sub-niches by then selecting a sub-category. The best chance for success is if I am as specific as possible with my niche selection.

Also, I’ll always check the largest stores as well to see what they’re selling. There has to be a reason they are the largest stores. They must be doing something right.

eBay also puts out a PDF report of their hottest categories each month, available at http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/hotitems.pdf.

I will continue this training in the next post.

Find A Hot Niche – The Beginning of the Journey

I’m going to be your mentor, coach, teacher, whatever you want to call me, on your niche marketing journey to find a hot niche.

In this journey the “hot niche” refers to an online niche as opposed to an offline niche. You’re going to learn how to find an online niche that you want to get into with the end result being that of making money. The bottom line is this: I’m going to mentor you in your journey to make money online, ok?

If you really want to make money with your computer you have to sell things that people want to buy with their computer. That’s about what online marketing, also known as internet marketing, boils down to. Sell what buyers are buying. Don’t sell what they’re not buying and don’t sell things to people that don’t have any money and especially don’t try to sell to people that don’t have a credit card. Find a hot niche, set up your business and start selling.

This involves knowing how to find a hot niche and we will be getting deep into how to do that.

There are literally thousands of niche market products that are selling well on the internet and there are hundreds of ways to make money online. You just have to choose what you want to sell, choose the method you want to use and then you have to take action and get busy selling it.

We will be getting into the types of things that sell well online, the many different ways to sell them and the different ways to make money with your computer.

You can sell physical products like cars, TV’s, computers, books, sheets, art, clothes and vitamins, just to name a few random items. Or you can sell digital things like ebooks, photographs, information, public domain products, websites, domain names, coupons and . You can also sell services online, like website design and creation, search engine optimization, hosting, writing, coaching, you can be an online psychic, etc.

You don’t even have to sell your own products or services. You can sell other people’s products as a “middleman” or “affiliate” and earn a commission from the product owner.

The bottom line is that internet marketing is like a vast ocean. There are as many ways to make money and products or services to promote as the ocean is deep. This has been a very broad overview that has only scratched the surface of this ocean. We will dive into this ocean in future posts and I will spend a lot of time on how to find a hot niche because this is really where it all begins. Choose the wrong niche and you could be in big trouble. Choose the right niche and you could be raking in the “Big Money” for years to come.

I have been learning about internet marketing for over seven years. I’ve been making money online for almost three years. I’m still not an expert and probably never will be. It’s incredible how much there is to know and learn! It’s mind-blowing how much there is to do. I’ve made money in several different ways selling both services and physical and digital products. I will be sharing my own personal money-making experiences in this blog. I will also be sharing the money-making experiences of other people that are making money with their own online businesses. I’m going to be showing you a lot of people making a LOT of money because they learned how to find a hot niche market.

Stay tuned if you want to learn how to make money online!

That’s all for this post on niche marketing. Take a break and think about this a bit, ok?
